Job Advertisement – Saturday Pottery Tutor

The Art House is looking to hire a Saturday Pottery Tutor who has a degree in ceramics or equivalent professional experience in throwing on the wheel.
The successful tutor will be running our Saturday Morning and Afternoon workshops. These introductory 2.5-hour classes give beginners the opportunity to throw for the first time, and hopefully go on to one of our courses or even become a pottery member.
The role is from 9.30am to 5pm, initially every other Saturday, progressing to every Saturday of term as we expand our offering.
The Art House is a ‘Real Living Wage’ employer.
Our chosen candidate will:
Be proficient in every aspect of throwing on the wheel and confident in demonstrating in front of others.
Have excellent communication skills, and preferably relevant teaching experience
Be an enthusiastic promoter of our pottery courses and workshops.
Be a reliable, punctual, and hard-working member of our team.
