The Art House featured on Radio Sheffield!

Do you ever wish you could talk to someone who has attended one of our classes before you sign up? Well, now you can hear first-hand from some of our students who spoke on a full length Rony Robinson Radio Sheffield programme about art this week.

You can listen to it by clicking here.

The whole show is an informative listen but, if you just want to know more about what we do and how our students feel, go straight to the 35 minute mark and again at 45 minutes.

If you’re one of the many traumatized by the old fashioned school approach to art or if you were once told that you had no talent whatsoever, we’d love to hear from you. We have a skilled team of tutors – in ceramics and art – who don’t believe in knocking you down but, instead, all share our belief that everyone has an ability to be creative and learn new skills.

Sheffield is renowned as a creative city and we want everyone to have the opportunity to be part of it. As our tutor, Anna, says on Rony’s show, lots of us were taught early on in life that some people can draw and others simply cannot, but at The Art House, we work on the belief that art is a skill which can be learned. The interviews on Rony’s show are from our Drawing for the Terrified class and give an insight into how we teach in a supportive and encouraging manner that enables you to begin to see the world through the eyes of an artist.
