SIP AND FIMO: AUTUMN BUNTING with Gill Cosford 
Come along to this Sip and Fimo class and create colourful autumn bunting, which will bring warmth and charm to your home while the nights are drawing in.
In this workshop you will be using polymer clay, which is a highly coloured oven-hardening clay, to make a variety of autumn themed charms such as animals, leaves and toadstools.
Your tutor, Gill, will then take the work back to her studio to bake and assemble your bunting. You will be able to collect your finished work from The Art House approximately a week later.

Suitable for all abilities (even complete beginners!). Bring your own drinks, we’ll provide the glasses! (18+)

SIP AND FIMO: PRETTY PASTEL JEWELLERY with Gill Cosford 
Come along to this Sip and Fimo class to create Pretty Pastel Jewellery, which will add the ‘Wow!’ factor to any outfit! They also make great Christmas gifts for family and friends.
the jewellery will be made from Polymer Clay, a highly coloured modelling material. You will be able to create your very own pieces (to your own design if you wish) and you will be able to wear them home. Any items that are left unbaked will be taken back to Gill’s studio, where she will bake and assemble your jewellery which can then be collected from The Art House approximately a week later.

Suitable for all abilities (even complete beginners!), bring your own drinks and we’ll provide the glasses! (18+)

PAINT AWAY- CAPTURING THE EXPERIENCE OF YOUR HOLIDAY ON CANVAS with Flora Menager 
Deciding what to paint can be an arduous task. In this course, taking your favourite holiday photographs as inspiration we will learn acrylic painting techniques to translate the sensations and experiences captured in that moment onto canvas.
We will explore how to evoke a particularly magical aspect of the photograph (and memory of it!) to really create something to treasure. There will be time for Flora to provide you individual painting and composition technique advice to best accomplish your artistic goals.

* Please bring a photograph from your travels to use as inspiration. This can be a photograph of absolutely anything that you would like to paint!

ART CLUB with Flora Menager
Art Club is a great opportunity to develop your artistry in a social, inclusive and relaxed environment. The sessions provide the perfect balance between taught learning and freedom to develop skills in any medium of your choice with guidance and support from Flora.  A variety of drawing and painting materials will be available for use including: watercolour, gouache, pen and pencils, charcoal, pastels, acrylic, oils, inks. Book individual dates, or look go to Art Courses to book a six week block at the discounted price of £70.

MOSAICS FOR THE GARDEN ~ with Sarah Falkenberg and Diana Storey
Students will learn a different mosaicing technique which involves putting glass, ceramics and found objects into cement. This cement can be coloured with students choice and formed into any shape they wish. Students will learn how to use tile and glass cutters and will leave a mosaic piece to dry which can be picked up the week after. The finished pieces are applicable for outside use. This is a fun fast way of mosaicing without the need for grouting.

Payments: All courses or workshops must be fully paid in advance and all major cheques, cash and credit/debit cards are acceptable methods of payment. To pay by cheque please click here to download a booking form and send back with a cheque made payable to “St Matthews House Ltd”.  You can also drop in Monday – Friday from 11am – 3pm to pay in person.

If you have an Art House gift voucher please follow the instructions below:
• Pay the full price of the course online.
• Email us prior to the course date to tell us you have used a voucher.
• Bring the voucher with you on the day to receive your cash back.

Cancellation and refunds: If you wish to cancel your place on a course you must do so at least 14 days before the course starts in order to receive a full refund. Cancellation must be made in writing or email. If you require a refund we will charge £15 administrative fee. Alternatively you may transfer your booking to another course free of charge.

If you cancel your place less than 14 days before your course starts, you will only receive a refund of 50% course fee (or 50% of the fee value to transfer to an alternative course).  If you require a refund we will charge £15 administrative fee or you can transfer your booking to another course free of charge.

After a course begins we do not offer any refund unless in exceptional circumstances. 

If we have to cancel a course for any reason, then you will receive a full refund with no administrative fee deducted.
