Our Creative Artists Group – a well-being group for people with mental health issues (runs every Thursday at the Art House) – have just finished their first commissioned art work!

They were recently asked to design and make some sensory images – using a variety of textures and shapes – for the residents of Woodland View residential home for people with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.  The pieces are currently being displayed as part of our student exhibition throughout the Art House (until Friday 18th August) and then they will be transported and presented to Woodland View residents for them to enjoy.

Many thanks to Rita and her colleagues from the volunteer support group at Woodland View for asking us to complete this commission and to the Freemasons at Dore for funding this work.
